Andreu Riera-Campeny joins the group as a PostDoc
We are happy to welcome Andreu as a PostDoc in the group. Andreu joined the group on February 14th 2022 and will work on theoretically modelling decoherence and noise of levitated nanoparticles.
Andreu obtained his BSc in Physics from the Autonomous University of Barcelona in June 2016, where he specialized in theoretical physics and was awarded with the extraordinary prize of promotion in 2016. In September of 2017, he obtained his MSc from the Innsbruck University in theoretical quantum phsyics, and did his Master thesis in the group of quantum nano-physics, quantum optics and quantum information lead by Prof. Oriol Romero-Isart. He obtained his PhD in December of 2021 from the Autonomous University of Barcelona finatially supported with a FI-AGAUR grant from Generalitat de Catalunya,. There, he carried out research in open quantum systems as well as out of equilibrium physics under the supervision of Prof. Anna Sanpera and PhD. Philipp Strasberg, both working at the Quantum Information Group (GIQ).
He is scientifically interested in nonequilibrium quantum physics, which includes (not exclusively): quantum statistical mechanics, open quantum systems, quantum thermodynamics, and periodically driven systems. In particular, he has studied heat transport and phases of matter under periodic driving and, also, studied the open system dynamics and thermodynamics of quantum systems that interact with a finite bath.
