Yaotong Chen joins the group as a PostDoc

We are happy to welcome Yaotong as a PostDoc in the group. Yaotong joined the group on September 2, 2024, and will work on quantum entanglement mediated by gravitational interactions and non-Gaussian physics.
Yaotong earned her Ph.D. in quantum optics at Northeast Normal University, China, in June 2024, where she was awarded the President’s Scholarship twice during her doctoral studies. She pursued a consecutive Ph.D. program in the same group under the supervision of Prof. Jinhui Wu, focusing primarily on atomic physics, waveguide quantum electrodynamics, Rydberg atoms, and cavity optomechanics. She also collaborated with Prof. Yong Li and Dr. Lei Du at the Beijing Computational Science Research Center on optomechanical systems and giant atoms. In 2023, Yaotong spent two months as a visiting student at Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa, working with Prof. Giuseppe Carlo La Rocca and Prof. Maurizio Artoni on “Rydberg giant atoms.” Yaotong’s primary research interests include waveguide quantum electrodynamics, with a focus on nonreciprocal and chiral behaviors in giant-atom systems; Rydberg atoms, particularly in simulating giant atoms with Rydberg atom pairs and examining their entanglement dynamics; and cavity optomechanics, where she specializes in asymmetric photon transport.
